VACANCY: CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISOR (BUILDING) – FULL EMPLOYMENT WITH ARD
TYPE: FULL TIME
LOCATION: MCDOWALL

JOB DESCRIPTION 

AR Developments have an exciting new opportunity for a Site Supervisor to assist in the delivery of our townhouse developments that will see you provide direct support in managing the site operations, subcontractors and direct staff on our domestic construction sites across Greater Brisbane. 

ABOUT YOU 

The successful applicant will hold a trade qualification in Carpentry or Building, show initiative and a willingness to learn new skills, have an enthusiastic attitude, be self-motivated, and show strong commitment and a proven ability to work within a team environment. 

You must possess good communication skills, be honest, reliable, hardworking and enjoy working to high standards 

The successful applicant must: 

  • Hold a trade qualification in carpentry 
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Supervisor working on Townhouse Developments 
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of residential construction practices, technologies and materials. 
  • Hold a current Australian open driver’s license 
  • Construction White Card 
  • Demonstrate strong plan reading abilities, including interpreting construction details and specifications 
  • Coordinate daily tasks on site according to priority and Onsite Companion scheduling. 
  • Be able to operate small machinery and various hand and power tools, whilst operating in a safe and efficient manner 
  • Be organised and have strong time management skills  
  • Be critical thinking and problem solving 
  • Be adaptable and accepting of change 
  • Work well in a team and autonomously 
  • Be reliable and honest 
  • Be proficient in using the Microsoft software and various other applications 

 ABOUT THE ROLE 

In this exciting new position, you will work within our medium-sized construction and development business, alongside a qualified and highly skilled building, landscaping and civil team. You will work on domestic building projects across Greater Brisbane as part of our townhouse developments. 

You will gain significant experience in site management, site logistics, planning, process and procedure required to successfully deliver building projects safely, on time and to required quality standards.

VACANCY: LEADING HAND (CONSTRUCTION, BUILDING) – FULL EMPLOYMENT WITH ARD

JOB DESCRIPTION 

AR Developments have an exciting new opportunity for the position of a Leading Hand to assist and support our Site Supervisor and operations team in the delivery of our townhouse developments communicating efficiently with all subcontractors and staff on our multi-residential construction sites across Greater Brisbane.  

ABOUT YOU 

The successful applicant will have experience and/or hold a qualification in Construction and Building Industry and show initiative and a willingness to learn new skills, have an enthusiastic attitude, be self-motivated, and show strong commitment and proven ability to work within a team environment.  

The successful applicant must:  

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience and/or Qualification in Carpentry & Building  
  • Hold a current Australian manual driver’s license 
  • Understand Construction terminology and demonstrate strong plan reading abilities, including interpreting construction details and specifications 
  • Be able to complete a variety of tasks within this role including inspections and building 
  • Co-ordinate deliveries and materials as required 
  • Show leadership, respect, and honesty by providing excellent communication with others 
  • Be reliable and adaptable through efficient time management  
  • Have a strong attention to detail

AR Developments have an exciting new opportunity for a Landscape Labourer to assist our Landscape team in the delivery of our townhouse developments.  

ABOUT YOU 

The successful applicant will be a self-motivated, hardworking and energetic person, who enjoys working outdoors, within positive team environment. 

The successful applicant must:  

  • Hold a Construction White card and a current Australian manual driver’s license 
  • Be able to complete general landscaping duties including digging holes, concreting, fencing, paving, irrigation, retaining walls, spreading soil mulch rocks, planting ,watering and maintenance
  • Be able to carry out manual tasks in a variety of settings 
  • Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner 
  • Work well in a team and autonomously, taking instructions and training from Supervisors and Leading Hands 
  • Be a good fit for our company values
  • Be reliable and honest 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

You will work within our medium-sized construction and development business, alongside a qualified and highly skilled building, landscaping and civil team. 

This role has a six month probationary period.  After this time you may have the opportunity to be trained in the operation of a skid steer loader and other machinery and landscaping equipment. We also may consider an apprenticeship after qualifying time for the right person.
